Plan is to have our initial get together this upcoming Tuesday, 7/6.

Hey Wood,

I must have uninstalled TS a few years ago. I went to the Teamspeak site, http://www.teamspeak.com/ where TS 3 is the current version. For TS 2, they direct you to the file archives. Once there, http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads&archive=1, there is a teamspeak 2 client 2.0.32.60 and a teamspeak 2 client (updated binary) 2.0.33.7 from Teamspeak. Does it matter which one?

General questions for anybody:

Do you guys still use Windows Messenger? Also, is anybody having problems running AOC on windows vista. I have one pc on windows vista and my old pc (which I used to use when we played) still on windows XP. When I run AOC on vista, I normally get wacky colors that make it hard to see and I have to get out of the game and go back in a couple of times to get everything back to normal. I may have to use my old pc at first but if anybody has had this problem or solved this problem, I would like to know. I'm really behind the 8 ball as I haven't played anything for a number of years and I'm trying to get back up to speed.

Yes you ned to pull it from TS archives. I believe the non-binary is the correct one. Either way it's easy to d/l install so should be a quick test getting it to work.

Meat was saying it should work on Vista.

Vista defintely has some issues with video, as does windows 7.
I will do some peeking at this, as my father in law is having the same video bug in windows 7.
I'm guessing aokh has a small tech section telling how to fix. I think running this in 16 bit color might fix...

I have seen now some posts about running in compatability mode / 256 colors / 800 x 600 resolutions.
Also a posting about in windows 7 just opeing up the resoution screen (video property), and leaving it open while launching...

couple of ideas there for you to try.

Not seeing the game pop on my machine (would be surprised if rath is still hosting ). I generally get home from work around 5:00 PM PST, 8:00 PM EST. Hope that does not cause any conflicts. Appreciate you guys setting this up.

why don't you host one - give IP - and I'll try connecting.

FYi - you pretty much need to shutoff all your anti-virus and firewall and also check to see if any blocking msgs are popping up on your screen to get the connection.

Alright for some reason I was not even able to connect to the net when plugged directly into modem (not good with windws7 and networking). But here is the IP I have behind router 5.55.233.15

I've worked on this all day and I still can't connect to any of the three IP Addresses shown: 74.103.146.85, 5.55.233.15 or 24.187.133.90.

I'm using my PC through my girlfriend's wireless router. It is an actiontec router for verizon and it uses pre-configured settings for Age of Empires II - Age of Kings. The settings are as follows: TCP 47624, 2300-2400, and 100; UDP 6073, 2300, 2400, and 100.

I have Norton Internet Security on my PC and I have turned off any applicable and any non-applicable applications such as the firewall or intrusion prevention. Basically Norton Internet Security is completely turned off.

I have a fully patched version of Age of Conquerors.

When I try to connect, I only get a blank rectangle in the list of games box where the name of the game should be.

I am literally at the end of ideas as to what I should try.
